Renato Fernandes
Founder / Director
Renato Fernandes is a 6th generation circus performer, 3rd generation Flying Trapeze artist, and the Founder & Artistic Director of the International Circus Festival of Las Vegas.
With more than 25 years in the circus industry, Renato began performing professionally on the Flying Trapeze at just 4 years old. In 2012, he joined Cirque du Soleil’s La Nouba, further establishing himself as one of the world’s leading trapeze artists.
On February 24, 2016, Renato made history as the first performer to successfully complete the Double Twisting Double Layout & a Half on the Flying Trapeze. In 2020, he appeared at the 44th Festival International du Cirque de Monte-Carlo with the Flying Tuniziani, where the troupe received the prestigious Golden Clown award presented by Prince Albert II and Princess Stéphanie of Monaco.
Through years of performing, judging, and collaborating with circus festivals around the world, Renato envisioned creating a world-class international circus festival in Las Vegas — a city globally recognized as the entertainment capital of the world.
Today, the International Circus Festival of Las Vegas brings together elite performers, emerging talent, and international artistry under one big top while continuing to inspire future generations of circus artists worldwide.
